Visions from the front. I would have captured Cam, but he slept pretty much the whole way. Our drive on Sunday (which could have been a nightmare) was amazingly successful. We took off 6 o'clock Denver time (7 here) and made it home by 3:30 only stopping once in Big Springs. That's right, my guys made it 5 hours straight in the car during the DAY! Here are some shots of Caelan watching Kung Fu Panda and Royal watching the road.

Thanksgiving Fun
While the girls played cards, the guys watched Arkansas football. Camden wore his Hog socks, so the Hogs won. Here you can see him crashing on Daddy. It could be because he's growing, it could also be because it's nap time, or it could be because he woke up at 4 am consistently the entire trip.
While the guys were inside, Caelan and I played hard outside. The top picture is of the guys in Caelan's office putting together the car ramp Craig and Amanda got him for Christmas.
We've Identified "C"
Saturday, Caelan had a break through! I have been trying to teach him to identify the ABC'S for about two years now...and today he finally decided to recognize the letter "C." Of course he had to do this on his own. I am so thrilled. I had him draw so many C's. He's a smarty pants! This is our first step to reading!
Like Kids in a Candy Store...
Nana and Papa Colorado watched the high-maintenance kids while we took a beer tour. The brewing process is extensive and interesting. We visited the Left Hand Brewery on Saturday with Craig and Amanda in Longmont, Colorado. It was SO fun. I thought I'd never see anyone happier than Caelan in a toy store. I was quite wrong. Lew had a perma-grin on the entire time! Good beer, good music, and good friends. What a great way to spend an afternoon in Colorado.

Winter Fun
We put up the Christmas tree Monday night since we are leaving on Wednesday. I had some helpers. Caelan put the ornaments on the tree while Cam pulled apart old bows and put them in boxes. As you can see, all any of us wants is Cam's two front teeth. He drenches all outfits. In the wagon pictures, Liberty is pulling Nicholas and Caelan. We had some cold fun outside this last weekend.

Does Your Food Taste This Good?
Food is something Camden truly loves. He is displaying his passion here by the noise and the shakes.
Sarah's Wedding
We went back home for Sarah and Shad's wedding. A good time was had by all. Caelan pulled off some new moves on the dance floor. I took a video but it was a bit dark. Good friend Scott is seen here dancing with the bride, Sarah. Stacie danced with Caelan quite a bit. He was the first one she picked!

Bath
Camden usually freaks out in the bath tub. We were hoping for a performance like that today, but to no avail. However, you do get to see some cute stuff here. It takes two to video tape him in the tub because he flies all over the place. He loves his tub time.
We had a fun night visiting the Riibe's house on Sunday. Camden and Mia do way better when they are playing independently. He's not such a sweet talker yet as shown in some of these. Also, the blurry picture is the only one I could get with all four of them. If you can't see her, the fourth to which I'm referring is Phoebe. Caelan is holding her head up and trying to kiss her.
My Helpers
Lew, Cam and Caelan came to my classroom on Sunday to help me get set up for the week. As you can see, they had a great time playing. Caelan colored on the board and ran the halls. After that, he took my "ice breaker" ball and played severe dodge ball with it. Camden had fun with his toys as well, and I got some work done.

8 Months Old and 3 Years and 4 Months Old
Here are some fun shots from 2 weeks ago or so. Caelan is in his "house" in the backyard. Royal is never too far from Camden inside and out.
Here are some updates. Caelan is 38 pounds and into categories. He will count and say his ABCs, but he doesn't like to write or identify letters and numbers. SO, we found he does like to identify categories of things. Shapes, colors, animals, etc. He knows that a frog is an amphibian and a human is a mammal. He can tell you that. Now, Mommy has to study categories of animals to get these things right since I don't remember those classes...
Camden is 24 pounds as of 2 weeks ago. He is eating people food. When he sits he ROCKS OUT and bounces! He moves all over the house. He is not up on the knees yet, but he rolls and scoots and can get anywhere he sets his mind to. It's a whole new set of challenges. He has said his first word earlier than Caelan did. This scares us a bit, because of how talkative Caelan is. Daddy will have his hands full with three constant talkers. He says "Da Da" when he sees Lew. I am extremely jealous and tried to get him to say "blood clot" or "9 months of pregnancy" but it didn't take. He still reaches for mommy and freaks out when I show up at daycare, so I still get good stuff...just not the words. :-)
Caelan is super protective with Camden. Camden wants to play with anything Caelan does. It's super fun around here.
