Earth Day Celebration 2010

It was a great day for two guys that skipped their naps! We met up with friends at "Elmo park" Elmwood park for some fun. Caelan discovered his new skill: hula hooping. He's pretty good.

Brother Updates

Camden finally had his two year old check up since he was clear of his ear infection. He is 31 pounds, 36 inches with a 20 inch head circumference. He's ornery and right on track with motor skills. Yesterday, he did surprise us by counting to 13 on his own. This is big. We're hoping he's a little better at math than mommy. We are very blessed to have Felicia as his teacher. She has not only been able to teach him colors, shapes, ABC's and shapes, she's also giving him the patience he so desperately needs. He's a tough one, but that's what makes him super lovable.

His giant brother will be due for his check up soon. Caelan is still fighting the good fight, but he's starting to save bugs and worms from his brother. He just made it into my school district's Kindergarten and will be just down the street from me. Camden loves to follow Caelan which works well because Caelan loves to organize and lead. Caelan was all set to help Cam with his shots yesterday. We are having a "magical" spring break according to Caelan, and I just have a blast with these guys.

Playing Outside

This weekend was so fantastic. The boys played so hard each day and night. Here they are using their shovels. You can tell by the trees where Camden got his face scratch. Other than that, the boys had such a good time together.

Easter Bunny

The Easter bunny left them new water bottles, sidewalk chalk, and their favorite breakfast items. Camden's, of course, was a pop tart package and Caelan's favorite was a package of muffins. Much later this day there was a HUGE neighborhood Easter Egg hunt, so the bunny was being nice by not giving anymore cnady. Don't mind the mess from mommy's grad class in the background.

Sorry about the poor quality. This IS how early they got up on Easter, though. :-) The Easter Bunny left a trail for the guys all the way from their bedrooms to the baskets.

Camden is Two!

Boy did we party for him! Nana and Papa Colorado were lucky enough to find a hotel with an amazing kid pool. (It was more a kid phenomenon). You won't see any pictures of that place. We were all very busy keeping the kids going down the slides. That was too fun, since Camden is a water baby.

After the pool, we came back home to have a party for him. He loves the book (and can recite it by now!) Brown Bear, Brown Bear. So his cake had two Bears wishing him happy birthday. Caelan can be seen helping to help with the presents. They ended up all over the living room floor as you can see in many pictures. Camden was definitely spoiled.

At two years old, we are amazed by him. He's a great speaker and singer. His dancing skills are as advanced at Caelan's were. :-) He loves his mommy and daddy and his favorite time is when we are all together (when Daddy or Mommy is not at class.) His favorite, all time person is Caelan. He will copy all of his moves, his actions, his words, his screams, his jumping, etc. In fact, jumping is his preferred method of movement at this point.

Reading books is still his favorite pastime. Caelan (even at this age)was defeating bad guys and was scared of nothing. Camden is very tender-hearted. He cries when others cry, he's scared of many of the bad guys Caelan fights, and he hugs and kisses all of the time. Felicia (his daycare provider) says that he is very good with her one-year old granddaughter, Aleya. She says he's patient and loving and lets her hang all over him. We think the patient part is really funny and we are glad he can be patient...somewhere. Camden is driven and stubborn, but I call that passionate! :-) We love our little guy and have been blessed with two great years!

Sick Boys

Well, all of the sudden Sunday, both boys came down with coughs and sniffles. Here are some pathetic pictures of Sunday night. Camden rested on the couch with his hulk gloves on. Too cute.

The Amazing Pizza Machine

Thanks to Joy, we have proof of this fun time at the Machine. We went with Tyler and Joy and had a blast. We even got Camden on the Frogger. He liked it at first, and as you can see by the picture I like to call "Mom of the Year" he decided he hated it. The nice man working the machine let us take him off right away. Otherwise, we had too much fun!
